Starting from ₹11,500 per person
Day 1 – Arrival and War History Exploration in Jaisalmer
Morning: Upon arrival at the Jaisalmer Airport or Railway Station, you will be warmly received by our representative and transferred to your hotel, the charming Hotel Pleasant Haveli. After check-in, take some time to settle in and relax from your journey.
Afternoon: Post lunch, embark on your first excursion to the Jaisalmer War Museum, located on the Jaisalmer–Jodhpur Highway. This museum is a poignant tribute to the bravery of Indian soldiers, especially during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, famously depicted in the Bollywood film Border. The museum houses tanks, military vehicles, war trophies, and a documentary film showcasing the history and valor of the Indian Army.
Evening: Return to your hotel and enjoy a relaxed evening soaking in the desert ambience. You may choose to explore the nearby markets or savor Rajasthani cuisine at a local restaurant. Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.
Day 2 – Heritage Exploration and Desert Adventure
Morning: After breakfast, your guide will take you on a heritage tour starting with the magnificent Jaisalmer Fort, also known as Sonar Quila or the Golden Fort. Built in 1156 by Rawal Jaisal, the fort is an architectural marvel made of yellow sandstone, which gives it a golden hue under the sunlight. Within the fort complex, visit the intricately carved Jain Temples dating back to the 12th and 15th centuries, dedicated to Tirthankaras like Rishabhdev and Parshvanath.
Next, stroll through the fort’s narrow alleys to explore stunning havelis. Begin with the Salim Singh Ki Haveli, known for its peacock-shaped roof and 38 balconies, each with a unique design. Then head to the Patwon Ki Haveli, the largest and most elaborate of the havelis, showcasing beautiful frescoes and mirror work. Complete the heritage trail with a visit to Nathmal Ji Ki Haveli, famed for its delicate carvings and blend of Rajput and Islamic architecture.
Afternoon: Enjoy a traditional Rajasthani lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, visit Gadisar Lake, a serene man-made water reservoir built in the 14th century. Surrounded by shrines, pavilions, and temples, the lake was once the main source of water for the city. It’s also a haven for bird watchers and photographers.
Evening: As the sun begins to set, drive towards the Thar Desert for an unforgettable experience in the dunes of Khuri or Sam. Enjoy a camel ride across the golden sand dunes, with options for a thrilling jeep safari. As night falls, settle into your luxury Registhan Desert Camp, where you will be treated to a vibrant cultural performance featuring Rajasthani folk music and dance around a bonfire. Dinner will be served under the stars, followed by an overnight stay in your private Swiss tent.
Day 3 – Departure from the Golden City
Morning: After a leisurely breakfast amidst the desert calm, check out from the camp. Depending on your departure schedule, you’ll be transferred to Jaisalmer Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey, carrying with you the golden memories of the Thar Desert and the living heritage of Jaisalmer.
