Day 1 – Arrival in Jaisalmer – The Golden City

Morning: Upon your arrival at Jaisalmer’s airport or railway station, our representative will greet you and arrange a comfortable transfer to your hotel. After checking in, take some time to relax and settle in after your journey.
Afternoon: Your afternoon begins with a visit to the Jaisalmer War Museum, located on the Jaisalmer-Jodhpur highway. This museum is a moving tribute to the bravery of the Indian soldiers, particularly during the 1971 Indo-Pak war, also known as the Battle of Longewala, which was famously depicted in the Bollywood film Border. Exhibits include war relics, military vehicles, weapons, and personal stories of valour.
Evening: Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Jaisalmer. Enjoy your evening at leisure, perhaps with a traditional Rajasthani meal at a local restaurant.

Day 2 – Jaisalmer Fort & Thar Desert Experience

Morning: After breakfast, embark on a guided tour of Jaisalmer Fort, also known as Sonar Quila or the Golden Fort. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the very few “living forts” in the world, still inhabited by local residents. Explore its massive yellow sandstone walls, winding alleys, and ornate gates. Inside the fort, visit the intricately carved Jain Temples, built in the 12th to 15th centuries, featuring exquisite architecture and detailed sculptures.
Continue with visits to historic havelis—start with Salim Singh ki Haveli, known for its peacock-shaped roof and distinctive arched balconies. Then visit Patwon Ki Haveli, a cluster of five ornate mansions with mirror work and lattice windows. Conclude with Nathmal Ki Haveli, built by two brothers with a uniquely asymmetric façade.
Afternoon: After lunch, visit the peaceful Gadisar Lake, an artificial lake built in the 14th century, surrounded by temples, shrines, and ghats—ideal for a stroll or paddle boating. Look out for migratory birds in the winter.
Evening: Head into the Thar Desert for an unforgettable desert safari. Enjoy a camel ride across the golden dunes, or opt for an exhilarating jeep ride. Settle into your luxury desert camp and enjoy a vibrant Rajasthani cultural evening with live folk music and dance. Traditional dinner under the stars. Overnight stay at the desert camp.

Day 3 – Jaisalmer to Bikaner – Journey Through the Desert (330 km / approx. 6 hrs)

Morning: After breakfast, depart from Jaisalmer and drive through the rugged desert landscape to Bikaner. Enjoy scenic views of rural Rajasthan. Stop for lunch en route at a local restaurant.
Afternoon: On arrival in Bikaner, check in to your hotel and rest briefly. Later, explore Junagarh Fort, a 16th-century fortress famed for its unbreachable walls and intricate interiors. Visit the palaces within such as Anup Mahal, Ganga Niwas, and Badal Mahal.
Stroll past Bikaner Havelis and visit the Sadul Singh Museum in the Lalgarh Palace complex, featuring royal memorabilia, photographs, and hunting trophies.
Evening: Explore Bikaner’s lively markets known for bhujia, sweets like rasgulla, and colorful handicrafts. Overnight stay in Bikaner.

Day 4 – Bikaner to Jodhpur – The Blue City (250 km / approx. 5 hrs)

Morning: After breakfast, check out and begin your journey to Jodhpur, the Blue City. On arrival, check in to your hotel and refresh.
Afternoon: Visit Mehrangarh Fort, perched on a 400-foot hill and one of India’s most imposing forts. The museum inside features palanquins, weapons, paintings, and more. Enjoy panoramic views of the city’s blue rooftops.
Next, visit Jaswant Thada, a serene marble cenotaph with a beautiful garden, known as the “Taj Mahal of Marwar”. Then head to Umaid Bhawan Palace, partly a museum and partly home to the royal family, housing vintage clocks, portraits, and classic cars.
Evening: Explore Sardar Market near the Clock Tower (Ghanta Ghar), filled with textiles, spices, silver jewelry, and handicrafts. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.
